Turkey's Resort Town Remembers Amy Winehouse With An Exhibition
In the Kaş resort district of southern Antalya province, the 4th anniversary of British singer and song writer Amy Winehouse's death was marked with an exhibition, displaying 36 portraits picturing the star. Both local and foreigners showed a great interest to the exhibition, where Kaş District Governor Selami Kapankaya, curator of the Kalkan Culture House Özer Ulukaya, and artists Rüzgar Fidan, Ceylan Mutlu and Nurgül Dökmeciler made the opening all together. The exhibition hosts 36 works portraying Amy Winehouse, made with acyrilic and mixed painting technics by Rüzgar Fidan, Ceylan Mutlu and Nurgül Dökmeciler.

Painter Rüzgar Fıdan also gave a live performance and painted a portrait of Amy Winehouse in 150 x 200 cm size.
The twenty percent of the income from the exhibition will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation formed by Winehouse's family, which fights against drug and alcohol misuse. Winehouse had died untimely of alchohol poisoning in 2011, at the age of 27.
The exhibition in Kaş will be open to visitors until August 10, and the unforgettable Amy Winehouse songs will be accompanying visitors while touring the gallery.
