Syrian Woman Crossing İnto Turkey Killed By Security Forces
A Syrian woman was killed by security forces while she was trying to cross into Turkey illegally through a mined area on the border. The woman, identified as Nezahat Celal, reportedly was shot at around 7 p.m. on Jan. 29 near the border town of Cizre in the province of Şırnak. Celal was reportedly trying.

Celal was reportedly trying to travel to the southern province of Mersin, where her husband has been living since he fled Syria.
The body of the woman was taken to Cizre State Hospital before being sent to Forensic Medicine for an autopsy.
Cizre District Mayor Leyla İmret and Peoples' Democracy Party (HDP) district head Ali Akdeniz rushed to the hospital following the incident.
