The family has recently arrived to Kamışlı region, in order to see where their son has died. His parents visited seniors of the YPG in Rojava, where the leaders gave the family Reece Harding's picture.
Michele Harding, mother of the killed YPG member said they were happy to visit Rojava, having added, "I would like the world to know these precious children of ours better, the children that the international media has not showed".
"We all fight for humanity, although we have different religious thoughts" she said.
Having urged mothers losing their children suffer the same pain, mother Harding told they were proud to be known as the "Australian Kurds".
"I would never want to lose by child. However, it strangely relieves me to know my son has died while helping other people, rather than a meaningless accident. I pray for our children to be safe" said Michele Harding.
